UAE to get a taste of Tejas at Al Dhapra Air Base
New Delhi: The power of India’s indigenous fighter jet Tejas will now be seen soon in the UAE. For the first time, Tejas will display its power outside India. The Deserter’s Flag 8 exercise is going to take place from 27 February to 17 March at Al Dhapra Air Base in UAE. In which India’s Tejas is also taking part.
Air forces of America, UK, Australia, France, Kuwait, Bahrain, Morocco, Spain, South Korea are participating in this exercise. A contingent of Indian Air Force is also going to participate in this exercise in UAE.
A squad of 5 Tejas fighters is going to UAE from India. In which two C-17 Globemaster in Tejas and 110 soldiers have reached UAE airbase.
This is the first time Tejas will participate in international flying exercise. Wing Commander Ashish Moghe said that our aim is to participate in this diverse fighter exercise and learn the best.
In fact, Malaysia has recently given preference to India’s Tejas instead of South Korea’s FA-50 fighter and has signed a deal of 920 million with India for 18 light attack aircraft. This exercise is going to happen immediately after this deal. Discussions are going on from India’s side with Argentina Mishra regarding the deal of this jet.
