Under Ayushman Bharat scheme, hospitals get better heathcare incentive

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the health of patients as well as those treating them is improving in government hospitals. At the same time, arrangements are also being made to improve the condition of the hospitals. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, 19 hospitals have received an incentive of about Rs 42 lakh for completing the treatment target.

Out of the treatment amount, about Rs 55 lakh has been earned by the staff to repair the hospitals. In the Ayushman Bharat scheme, treatment targets have been set according to the number of patients from primary and community health centers to district level hospitals. On meeting the target, there is a provision to give 15 percent of the treatment amount to the staff as incentive. While 20 percent of the amount can be spent on improving patient facilities in the hospital. Hospitals that meet the target will be able to spend about Rs 55 lakh on improving patient facilities.

These 19 hospitals have received incentives in the quarter ended September. While JK Cancer Institute of Kanpur and Kalakankar CHC of Pratapgarh did not find place in this quarter’s list. While in the last quarter, both these hospitals were also included in the list of incentives after completing the target.

CHC Bhadar of Amethi, Chitauri of Bahraich, District Men’s Hospital Banda, District Men’s Hospital Fatehpur, Khaga CHC of Fatehpur, CHC Gajner of Kanpur Dehat, District Joint Hospital Maharajganj, CHC Mandhata and Parvatpur of Pratapgarh, Biswan CHC of Sitapur, Arazi of Varanasi Line, Hathi Bazar, Narpatpur, Gangapar, Puari Kalan, Biswan Kot, Shivpur CHC besides Referral Unit Cholapur and Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Center. The cancer center of Varanasi has got the maximum incentive of 29 lakhs.
