Shah said, “I was listening to Akhilesh Yadav’s speech on TV, where he says crime has increased. He said – Akhilesh ji, from where did you get the glasses? Which glasses do you use? I have brought a comparison between Yogiji and your 5 years. Robbery has reduced by 70% under Yogi Sarkar.

Samajwadi Party used to joke on us in 2014 that Ram Mandir will be built, but will not tell tithes but now a grand Ram Mandir is being built.
Amit Shah’s remarks came when he laid the foundation stone of Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Behat assembly constituency of Saharanpur a few months before the state assembly elections.
Earlier, in the 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party had won 312 of the 403-seat Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) won 47, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP). 19 seats were won and Congress could manage only seven seats.
