Under Kim Jong Un, starvation leaving Koreans on the brink of disaster

Korea: According to a recently released UN report, North Korea is facing severe starvation today due to the whims of Kim Jong Un. According to a statement given by the UN’s Thomas Ojia Quintana to the UN General Assembly, North Korea is facing a severe food crisis, which has affected the livelihood of the people.

Due to this, the risk of starvation for children and the elderly has increased in the country. In his statement, he said that he is also deeply concerned about the shortage of food grains in the camps of political prisoners. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has closed the country’s borders on the pretext of prevention of the epidemic, which had a serious impact on the health of the people of North Korea because the country is dependent on its neighbours for basic facilities.

According to Quintana, the situation in the country is so bad that people are committing suicide on a large scale.

Many people have been forced to leave the country and migrate to other countries. In his report presented to the General Assembly, Thomas Ojia Quintana said that restrictions on freedom of movement and closure of national borders have brought market activity to a near standstill.

Its closure can be very dangerous as access to basic necessities including food for people at this time is very important for their survival.
