Under Yogi government, farmer income and produce has increased manifold: Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow: In a program organized by the sugarcane department at the CM’s residence in the capital, UP CM Yogi Adityanath gifted 77 tractors and agricultural equipment to 77 sugarcane societies in the state.
On this occasion, CM Yogi said that before the year 2017, farmers used to commit suicide in UP and farming was called a loss-making deal. But by implementing the schemes made by PM Narendra Modi for the welfare of the farmers, our government has not only increased the income of the farmers but also increased the sugarcane production and its area in the state.
CM Yogi said that at present 119 sugar mills are running in the state and more than 100 of them are paying sugarcane to the farmers within 10 days. He said that our government not only restarted the sugar mills which were closed in the previous governments, but also gave instructions to crush sugarcane till there is even a single stalk of sugarcane in the farmers’ fields.
CM Yogi said that today when farmers will reach the districts with their tractors and equipment, they will get another good news. The CM said that Rs 2 lakh crore will be deposited into the farmers’ accounts today. CM Yogi said that today every farmer in the state is increasing his income by producing 10 tonnes of additional sugarcane. Along with this, the area under sugarcane production has also increased by 8 lakh hectares in the state.
CM Yogi said that 284 Khandsari licenses have been issued in the state, which will directly benefit the sugarcane farmers. CM Yogi said that the welfare of food giver is the priority of the government. He said that when there was a shortage of sanitizers during the Corona period, the sugar mills of UP supplied it in 27 states of the country. CM Yogi said that today 2 crore 60 lakh farmers in the state are getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
In the last 3 years, an amount of Rs 51 crore has been sent directly to the accounts through this. The CM said that many facilities like electricity, irrigation are being provided to the farmers on time by the government so that their yield is not affected. Along with this, by increasing the support price of sugarcane and other crops, farmers are being given benefits on their produce.
On this occasion, CM Yogi insisted the farmers to adopt co-cropping farming. He said that for this many schemes are being made by the government. In which sugarcane farmers can take advantage by increasing the fertility of the land. The CM said that a distillery would also be set up in our state to prepare fine sugar, which would greatly benefit the sugarcane farmers. The CM thanked the sugarcane department for this program and also extended Holi greetings to the farmers in advance.
