Unique bank for ashes to be setup in temple town Varanasi

Lucknow / Varanasi: Soon a unique bank is going to be opened in Dharmanagari Varanasi, where the account will be opened not for keeping the money but for keeping the ashes. This bank will not only give complete salvation to the dead person, but will also help in giving benefits of complete cremation to the family members.

The UP government has prepared a blueprint for making this bank, which will soon be seen on the ground at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi.

According to religious belief in Varanasi, one gets salvation by getting the cremation done. Because of which people from far and wide bring dead bodies of their dead relatives to Varanasi and perform their last rites at Manikarnika Ghat. But due to paucity of time, they are not able to get the bones immersed according to the rules and regulations and in haste, some bones are thrown into the Ganges.

A bone bank is going to be built for such people, where the dead person’s bones will be kept.

Municipal Health Officer, Municipal Corporation Varanasi, MP Singh said that for this the Municipal Corporation has prepared a plan and shown it to Chief Minister Yogi.

The Chief Minister has also given the green signal. After a month or two, taking the ashes from here, they can immerse the ashes at places like Haridwar, Prayagraj with complete rituals. Survey has started for the location of this bank, which will be completed soon.
