Lucknow: UP Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Rajiv Academy for Technology and Management, Mathura organized a Virtual Interactive Session on Success Stories of Start-ups.
Manish Sinha, General Manager, SIDBI Lucknow defined start-ups and said that a start-up is a company or project undertaken by an entrepreneur to seek, develop, and validate a scalable business model. Sinha also highlighted the issues and challenges being faced by start-ups like, digital adoption, time management, funding, cash flow management, marketing etc.
He also stated few indispensable factors to the students to consider before starting a venture, which were – a business idea, knowledge or expertise, research and planning, market study, start-up costs, capital and finance, market competition, location of business, technology and last but not the least a ‘can do; attitude.
Vinayak Nath, Co-Founder & Director, India Assist Insights Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director, UP Angel Network gave an elaborate perspective on the services of UP Angel Network. He said that UP Angel Networks not only assists the startups with funding requirements but also nurture them during their life cycle leading to success.
Giving success tips to the audience, Nath stressed on the fact that intelligence and intellect in the business idea plays the key and a good intelligent business idea based on the current market need which caters mass population will fetch good money to the entrepreneur automatically. He also said that entrepreneurship has no age barriers and can be done by young as well as middle aged people. He also stressed that if a person has a good and novel intelligent business idea he can either start a new startup or can develop any already existing business and can get profitable returns out of it.
Aparna Mishra, Director, Radiance Corporate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. briefed about her 18 years of corporate as well as 11 years of Entrepreneurial journey. She gave few suggestions for freshers and students those who want to start their own business, like, having a mentor, developing a business plan, continuously educating oneself, having mind-body-soul balance, utilising free marketing tools, having confidence, resilience, persistence and risk taking ability were some of her tips for promoting the start-ups.
Dr. Vikas Jain, Dean, Rajiv Academy for Technology & Management, Mathura expressed his gratitude towards PHDCCI for collaborating with Rajiv Academy for this meaningful session and inviting him to share his insights. In order to inspire the students of his institute and the young generation, Dr. Jain also shared the stories of some of the leading start-ups and its achievements.
Atul Srivastava, Resident Director, UP Chapter, PHDCCI welcomed and greeted all the eminent speakers and delegates present during the Webinar Session and excellently moderated the entire session and also took questionnaires from the audiences to the elite panel of experts of the session. He also presented the formal vote of thanks to all the speakers and participants for sparing their valuable time and deliberations in the session.
The interactive Seminar was well attended by around 80 active participants comprising majorly of Professional students from Rajiv Academy for Technology and Management, Mathura, senior officials from SIDBI, Entrepreneurs, budding Start-ups, MSMEs, IPR Experts as well as other stakeholders working in this sector.
