UP Business & Startup Expo kickstarts a conversation on future of business

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in collaboration with Get A Franchise organized UP Business & Startup Expo on 9th & 10th April 2022 at PHD House, Vibhuti Khand, Lucknow.
The Event was title sponsored by Radico Khaitan Ltd.; Gold sponsored by Reliance Industries Ltd. and Silver sponsored by Marie Claire Salon & Momo Natin Café. UPSDM was empanelled as Skilling Patner; RED FM 93.5 as Radio Partner and Bank of India as Banking Partner of the Event.

The felicitation ceremony was held on 10th April, 2022. The Chief dignitaries included Mr. Vikas Rane, Vice President, Reliance Industries Ltd., Barabanki Manufacturing Division; Mr. Vivek Tiwari, AGM, Bank of India, Lucknow; Mr. Mukesh Singh, Sr. Member, PHDCCI; Mr. Vinayak Nath, Co-Founder & Director, India Assist Insights Pvt. Ltd & MD, UP Angel Network; Mr. Anurag Pandey, MD, Get a Franchise LLP and Mr. Atul Srivastava, Resident Director, UP State Chapter, PHDCCI.

The dignitaries highlighted the role of startups in buiding the economy. They said that Startups are the centers of innovation; it create jobs which means more employment, and more employment means an improved economy. Startup will help boost entrepreneurship and economic development by ensuring that people who have the potential to innovate and start their own business are encouraged – with proactive support and incentives at multiple levels, they added.

More than 35 brands / startups representative were given certificates/ mementos of participation and were encouraged to do better in their respective fields. The exhibitors were very elated to receive the token of appriciation and thanked the organisers for creating the meaningful interface. They said that their bisinesses were benefitted by the business interactions during the expo and were keen to re-particiapte again in future.
The Exhibition witnessed massive footfall on the second day as well which was comprised of potential buyers/investors all acrtoss the State. The visitors lot included a mix of representatives from public and private domain, including the senior corporate representatives of almost all the business sectors viz. Apparels, F&B, Retail, Agriculture, Food Processing, Automobiles, Banking etc. The exposition provided ample opportunities for B2B, B2C and B2G consultations and discussions leading to mutual and bilateral negotiations on industrial technology and investments and execution of MOUs with the peers as also with the State Government Departments.

Following were some of the brands/ exhibitors felicitated during the closing ceremony – Bank of India; Reliance Industries Limited; Burger Monk; GIANI; Marie Claire; Fabrico; Happy Singh and Momo Nation Café etc. The purpose of felicitation was to give boost to the budding startups for further growth.

Mr. Mukesh Singh, Sr. Member, PHDCCI presented the formal vote of thanks to all the exhibitors and attendees of the session. He said that growth of any State goes hand in hand with the growth of startups as the entrepreneurs are the growth engine of economy. He encouraged the startups and youth to do better in their business ventures by keeping themselves adept with the latest market trends and technolgies.

Mr. Atul Srivastava, Resident Director, UP State Chapter, PHDCCI excellently moderated the felicitation sessions.

The felicitation session was attended by more than 60 participants comprising of exhibitors, wannabe entrepreneurs, startups and leading Industrialists and aspiring youth of the state.
