UP: Mustard, gram and lentils will be procured at the minimum support price
Lucknow: The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision in the interest of the farmers. According to this decision, after April 2, procurement of mustard, gram and lentil will be started in the state at the minimum support price (MSP).
Mustard will be purchased at the rate of Rs.5450 per quintal, gram at the rate of Rs.5335 and lentils at the rate of Rs.6000 per quintal.
According to the information received, this arrangement is currently being done in those districts where they will be produced in an area of more than 10,000 hectares.
State’s Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Additional Chief Secretary Gokul Devesh Chaturvedi have given this information on Tuesday i.e. today.
Along with this, camps will also be organized on Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi and other problems and seeds will also be distributed. This purchase will be done through NAFED. Apart from this, hybrid seeds of all crops will also be given on 50 percent subsidy.
This time on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, the Yogi government is going to organize a special event in UP. The Yogi government will get Ramayana and Durga Saptshati recited in every district of UP. Instructions have been issued to the DMs of all the districts in this regard. A fund of Rs 1 lakh will be given to each district for these events by the government.
