UP Police has a no encounter policy says ADG L & O Prashant Kumar
Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, questions have started to arise on the encounter of the two accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. However, ADG law and order Prashant Kumar says that the police is taking action within its purview. He said that the police always fires in self-defense and has no encounter policy.
He said that the action we are taking in this case is being done on the complaint of Umesh Pal’s wife. Whatever we are doing, we will prove it in the court. Whatever Atiq Ahmed’s family has to say that they should say in the court that we have a policy of zero tolerance towards crime.
When bulldozers were fired at the houses of mafias, Prashant Kumar said, “Atiq Ahmed has been committing crimes for the last forty years. There is no confusion in the name of the one whose encounter happened yesterday. His name is Vijay, everyone knows him by the name of Usman. Whatever encounters we have, they are investigated. The illegal constructions of the mafia in UP have been demolished.
Prashant Kumar said that no accused guilty in the murder case will be spared and action will be taken against the helpers of the criminals.
There was a reward of 50 thousand rupees on Vijay Chowdhary, he had also fired at the policemen and was killed. We will punish all the criminals. Earlier, Arbaaz, who was involved in the murder of Umesh Pal and the two constables, was killed in an encounter by the police.
