UPMRC CONCLUDES ‘SWATANTRATA SAPTAHA’ WITH SEMINAR AND KATHAK DANCE

Lucknow: Under aegis of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav started by Government of India, UPMRC has been celebrating the ‘Swatantrata Saptah’ from 11th August 2022 to 17th August 2022. On 17th August 2022, the ‘Swantrata Saptah – Freedom Celebration’ concluded with the seminar (Sangoshthi) on ‘India at 75’. Famous historian, speakers and poets who have earned accolades in their respective fields also participated in this seminar and expressed their views on the topic.

Known for their excellent oratory, poetry, writing skills and subject expertise – Dr Shobha Dixit Bhawna, Dr Rashmi Sheel, Shri Manjul Mayank Mishr Manjar and Shri Ravi Bhatt were the guest of the event who graced the occasion with their explicit and positive views. Ms. Shweta Rajvanshi also captivated the audience by giving a splendid performance of Kathak.

The views of all the speakers pertaining to India’s progress in last 75 years were really impressive. Their views were dynamic and full of positivity. The thoughts of all the four speakers converged at a single point of opinion that ‘’India’s journey in last 75 years have been a roller coaster ride but in-spite of all the challenges; it has witnessed exponential progress in the field of science, technology, research, infrastructure, space exploration, information technology, manufacturing, entertainment, arts and architecture and so on. It is sure that in the upcoming 25 years, when Indians will be celebrating 100th Year of Independence, our growth projectile in terms of economic growth will be really high. India is already setting the precedent for many nations and in the years to come, it will play a role of
mentor and a world leader’’.

Sushil Kumar, MD, UPMRC said that ‘I am really impressed with the views expressed by all the four speakers. I agree that India is definitely moving at a fast pace and it has made phenomenal progress in all the fields. I believe that if we want to achieve the targeted growth trajectory and become a world leader then it is important for India to invest in the skill and human resource development. We should adopt innovation and out of the box thought process to grow exponentially in all the sectors. A development of nation is incomplete if it lacks holistic development. Therefore, it is vital for India that along with materialistic development it should also lay emphasis on moral, ethical and spiritual development of the nation’.

UPMRC Achieves Total Ridership of 5 crore

UPMRC has earned other feather on its cap by achieving cumulative ridership of 5 crores this month. Since the inception of commercial operations of Lucknow Metro in the year 2017, this total ridership has been achieved in last 5.5 years. Lucknow Metro this month has crossed the average ridership figure of 67,000 and it is expected to grow further in the upcoming months. Expressing the happiness on this achievement MD UPMRC, Shri Sushil Kumar, said that the “Entire credit goes to the hardworking team of UPMRC. We are indeed committed to providing the world class services to the people. We are constantly setting up new procedures, systems and mechanisms to attain new benchmarks. The comfort of passengers remains a notch priority and we are continuously working towards overhauling the services of mass transit system to another level of excellence”.
