UPMRC takes a noble step towards passenger safety; installs AED Device at Charbagh Metro Station
Device beneficial in diagnosing sudden cardiac arrests; passengers to get immediate help during crisis
Lucknow: In yet another step taken by UPMRC towards passenger safety and security, an AED device (Automated External Defibrillator) was inaugurated and installed at Charbagh Metro Station today, I.e. 6th September 2023 by Shri Sushil Kumar, MD UPMRC.
Senior Cardiologist Dr. Aditya Kapoor demonstrated the use of the device in presence of staff members of UPMRC and metro passengers.
The AED device is primarily used to diagnose and treat any sudden cardiac arrest. In case of any emergency, the device will be used to detect any such case and immediate help will be provided.
Speaking on the same, MD UPMRC Shri Sushil Kumar said, “UPMRC has always fulfilled its responsibility of serving metro commuters in every possible way and giving them proper and immediate first aid in case of any untoward event.
Today, we have installed an AED device at Charbagh Metro Station which will detect and treat cardiac arrests in case any passenger shows the symptoms of a cardiac arrest.”
The installation of the device has been sponsored by ICICI Bank.
It is to be noted that UPMRC is the first organisation in Lucknow to install such life saving device for passengers. Not just metro commuters, but also Railway officials of nearby Charbagh Railway Station (LKO and LJN ) and passengers at these Railway Stations can also be given assistance through this device.
