UPMRC TO BEGIN SWATANTRATA SAPTAAH FESTIVITIES FROM 11TH AUGUST
Lucknow: We as a country are celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and to commemorate the Amrit Mahotsav in a grand manner, the period from 11th to 17th August 2022 has been marked as the स्वतंत्रता सप्ताह (Independence week). To celebrate the Swatantrata Saptah in with full zeal and to soak in the colours of patriotism, week long activities will be organised by Lucknow Metro starting from 11th August 2022.
The activities include Independence Quiz, Selfie with Tiranga, Drawing competition for underprivileged children, Heritage Metro Ride on Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas, Rangolis at metro stations, skit and group dance competitions for school students and Hindi Sangoshti (Symposium) on India@75 to name a few. Other activities include an instrumental performance, blood donation camp, huge Display screen displaying colours of patriotism, musical chair for the housekeeping team etc. The Swatantrata Saptaah will be concluded in a grand manner on 17th August 2022 where a special cultural performance will be organised on ‘Vande Matram’ followed by Prize distribution of all activities conducted during the Swatantrata Saptaah .
A special Selfie frame is also installed at Hazratganj and Munshipulia metro stations where passengers can get their photos clicked and be a part of Independence Festivities.

The activities have been planned in such a manner that everyone gets an opportunity to participate in this celebration of freedom, be it our housekeeping team, our employees, officers, passengers and general public.
