Urdu should get its due at UN : Ex Guv Ram Naik at International webinar

Lucknow: The third International Urdu Conference is slated to be held on March 13 – 14, 2021 in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy, Lucknow and Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee, Lucknow at Maulana Azad Institute of Humanities, Science and Technology (proposed Maulana Azad Rural University), Mahmudabad, Sitapur. Marking the curtain raiser of the event recently was a webinar which was inaugurated by Ram Naik, former Governor Uttar Pradesh.

Ex Governor Naik said that during his tenure he had made every effort to get Urdu a proper place. He agreed and said that Urdu should get proper place in the United Nations. Ram Naik’s famous book ‘Charaiveti! Charaiveti !! ’which is mainly in Marathi language, has been translated into about 10 languages. He said the Urdu translation was also included in the four translations of the book which were released. Ex Guv Ram Naik welcomed and congratulated the participants of this webinar from different countries.

As the President of the International Urdu Conference, Dr. Ammar Rizvi  not only thanked the chief guest but even those who were from various countries. Dr. Rizvi said that Urdu is one of the most spoken languages ​​in the world and it should be recognized in the United Nations. He also told that he is going to make an International Institute of Hindi and Urdu language. This webinar was presided over by a famous writer from Canada, Prof. Takdi Abdi and it was conducted by Prof. Arif Naqvi, a famous writer, poet, journalist from Germany.

Prof. Arif Naqvi (Germany), Former Governor UP Ram Naik,  famous filmmaker- Director Muzaffar Ali and Director of National Urdu Language Development, Dr. Aqeel Ahmad of Chhattisgarh, New Delhi were among several others who were the luminaries taking part in the webinar.

There was unanimity in the demand of Dr. Rizvi to include Urdu in the United Nations. This webinar ran for about three and a half hours. The participants also gave information about various programs being run for Urdu in their respective countries.

In the end, the chief guest of this event, former Governor Ram Naik, the participants of various countries and those who saw it, thanked the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Sharib Rudoulvi.
