Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress gears up for Bharat Jodo Yatra

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress (Central Zone) under the leadership of  Rahul Gandhi, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, villages in districts, tehsils, blocks, districts under Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Faizabad, Devipatan, Bareilly, Mandals. Bharat Jodo Kisan Sankalp Yatra is going to be organized up to the level of Panchayats. Which will start from next 10th September. Through Bharat Jodo- Kisan Sankalp Yatra, we Congressmen will demand to fulfill the promises made by the BJP (Yogi Sarkar) in the Sankalp Patra for the farmers.

Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress Central Zone Chairman  Jagdish Singh informed that during the Bharat Jodo-Kisan Sankalp Yatra, the officials along with the local farmers will undertake a 2.5 kilometer foot march every day and the passengers of the village will rest at the door of the farmer’s family. Simultaneously, five progressive farmers of the village where the Yatra will reach will be honored.

In India, 42 percent of the households are farmers, whereas in Uttar Pradesh, 68 percent of the state’s 10.7 crore families are dependent on agriculture. Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress is continuously working for the fight for the rights and rights of the above farmer families. From time to time, farmers keep raising their voice for the cause.
All of you have to inform that in the month of August, a comprehensive campaign has been launched for drought, agricultural electricity bill waiver, farmers’ debt relief etc. and is determined to fulfill the above demands in the interest of farmers.

Giving further information, Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress Vice President Sushil Tiwari said that since the year 2014 till now the assets of the corporate have increased manifold. But the daily income of the farmer is only Rs.27. At present, each farmer has a debt of about Rs 74000/-. The cultivation of hatred is flourishing. Instead of working on farmer issues, nothing is being done to improve their standard of living. False promises of doubling the income are being made continuously. On the other hand, such laws are being brought, which are putting a question mark on the very existence of agriculture.

The government talks about free electricity in its promise. But in its press note, agriculture postpones electricity bill and revenue collection, which is a contradiction.

In the press conference, Uttar Pradesh Kisan Congress Central Zone Chairman Jagdish Singh, Vice President Gan Sushil Tiwari, Mehboob Kidwai, Jayant Chaudhary etc. presented their side. Along with this, he threw light on the topic of Bharat Jodo Kisan Sankalp Yatra in detail.
