Uttar Pradesh signs 13 MoUs in defense sector at Def Expo 2022
Lucknow/ Gandhinagar: Uttar Pradesh has also signed 13 MoUs with various companies manufacturing defense armaments, marking its presence in the Defense Expo 2022 held in Gujarat. Through which various companies will invest Rs 564 crore in the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Development Authority.
Representing Uttar Pradesh at the Defense Expo, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of Industrial Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh attended the Defense Expo. Those who talked to the investors, listened to their problems and expressed confidence of providing facilities based on the suggestions.
Industrial Development Minister Nandi attended the inaugural session, where the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Defense Expo. After attending the inaugural session of Defense Expo, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi inaugurated the exhibition of Defense Industrial Corridor being developed by Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority.
Minister Nandi interacted with the investors investing in the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor at the stall of UPEDA. Heard their suggestions and gave information about the Uttar Pradesh Defense and Aerospace Employment Promotion Policy, 2018 (Revised). After listening to the suggestions of the investors, Minister Nandi said that there is huge potential in this corridor for MSMEs. Minister Nandi praised the stall of UPEDA.
