Governor Patel said that the Global Investors Summit is not just a formality. Getting the guidance of the Prime Minister on the occasion of inauguration and the President on the occasion of closing shows the seriousness of this summit. She said that while maintaining its political, historical and cultural specialty, Uttar Pradesh has created a new identity in the last five-six years. Today Uttar Pradesh is identified with good governance. It is becoming the growth engine of the country. A new Uttar Pradesh is taking shape.
Now UP means hub of education, hub of industry, hub of investment and hub of investment friendly environment. Quoting PM Modi’s statement on the launch of GIS that Uttar Pradesh is the country’s growth engine and UP alone has more potential than many big countries of the world, the governor said that according to the vision of the Prime Minister, positive changes are on the ground in Uttar Pradesh. She said and they are visible. Exports have doubled here. Excellent infrastructure and strong law and order have increased the attraction of industrial houses to invest in Uttar Pradesh. With world-class infrastructure, Uttar Pradesh is continuously getting uninterrupted facility of air, water, road and rail connectivity. This is the reason that industrial houses from all over the world will forget the image of Bimaru state and make Uttar Pradesh a bright spot for investment.
Patel said that we are moving towards making the state a one stop destination for investment. Nivesh Mitra and Nivesh Saarthi developed by Invest UP are a big achievement. We have jumped 6 places in Ease of Doing Business. All types of workers including local artisans, craftsmen will be able to get various employment opportunities.
The Governor said that today Uttar Pradesh is being recognized as an education hub. Major reforms have taken place through the National Education Policy, new universities and colleges are opening. He said that according to the intention of PM Modi, ‘Shrianna’ coarse grains of the state are getting recognition and emphasis is being laid on natural farming. Farmers are being encouraged, the global market is expanding. He said that the Global Investors Summit is not only playing a leading role in UP but also in the direction of PM becoming a $5 trillion economy.
