Uttarakhand Chief Secretary reviews preparations for G 20 conclave in hill state

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu took a meeting regarding the preparations for the proposed G20 summit from 24 to 28 May 2023 at the Secretariatin Uttarakhand state capital. The Chief Secretary took detailed information on the outline of the program and their preparations.

The Chief Secretary said that a detailed outline should be prepared from the airport to the program venues and back to the airport so that the participants do not face any kind of problem during the G20 conference.

He said that the airport authority and the district administration will provide help desk to the participants at the airport with mutual coordination. He also instructed to ensure special security arrangements while keeping the traffic system in order during the movement of the participants.

He said that the traffic plan should be prepared in such a way that neither the participants of G20 face any problem, nor the passengers of Chardham Yatra and the general public have to face any problem. The Chief Secretary said that considering this as an opportunity to give a glimpse of the tourism and culture of our state to the participants from the country and abroad, in this program, along with the promotion of the state’s tourism, art, culture, Yoga and Ayush, information about the above products will also be given.

He said that the participation of common people should also be ensured during the conference. The departments whose role will be played during the G20 program should ensure that necessary action is taken at their own level. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary  Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary  R. K. Sudhanshu, ADG Law & Order  V. Murugesan, Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey,  R.K. Rajesh Kumar and Vinod Kumar Suman,  S.N. Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun  Sonika, Vice President MDDA  Banshidhar Tiwari and officers of other concerned departments including District Magistrate Tehri were present through video conferencing.
