Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami donates 5 lakh to Somnath Fair
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while participating in the historical Somnath fair Masi 2023, announced to provide Rs. 05 lakh to the Somnath fair.
He said that our culture and civilization is great, there is continuity in it. For centuries, fairs and festivals have been doing the work of making common people aware about the greatness of this great culture. This historical fair of Somnath is also an example of this.
The unique tradition of offering new crop from every village to Devadhidev Shiva since Katyurkal makes this fair special. These fairs also play an important role in preserving our ancient cultural heritage. Fairs also play an important role in connecting our society and making the new generation aware of our ancient culture and traditions. The Chief Minister has upgraded Community Health Center located at Masi in Dwarahat Vidhansabha, new construction of motor road from Prempuri to Chhityadikorni in Chaikhutia, improvement of Dhaunaritha Chaira motor road of Chaikhutia development block, construction of motor road from Chaikhutia to Khida khadak jhuma khet and immediate repair of bad roads.

He said that it is a matter of good fortune for a small state like Uttarakhand to organize three G20 meetings. One meeting of this has been completed in Ramnagar, while two more meetings are to be held, so that our state will register its presence on the international stage, which will spread its culture, folk art and food.
The Chief Minister said that giving three gas cylinders to the Antyodaya families in the state, implementing the system of 30 percent horizontal reservation for the women of the state, preparing a draft Uniform Civil Code, enacting a law to stop forced conversions, new education policy.
We have tried to implement the work related to the state interest, to implement new sports, to implement strict anti-copying law, to give 10 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs to state agitators and their dependents or to take decisive action against land jihad. He said that we are determined to make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country.
The Chief Minister said that many slogans have been given to remove poverty in the country for decades, but the real work of removing poverty was done by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that the Prime Minister understood the pain of poverty, that is why under his leadership, works are being done for the poor in the country which were not done in the last 70 years. Today the shouts of Sanatan culture are being heard in all the four directions. The flag of Sanatan is hoisting all over the world. Today our temples and places of pilgrimage are being given importance.
Today, cultural upliftment of India is taking place again under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Today, whether it is the construction of Ram Mandir, reconstruction of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams, giving a grand appearance to the corridor of Baba Vishwanath or construction of Mahalok of Rajadhiraj Mahakal, our religious heritage is being preserved and enhanced. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is also determined to restore the religious places in Uttarakhand and save their pride.
Like Kedarkhand in Garhwal, we are moving forward in the direction of making ‘Manaskhand Corridor’ in Kumaon, under which almost all the ancient temples of Kumaon region will be developed. During our tenure of a little over a year, we have tried at every moment to find solutions to the problems and challenges. Through our actions during this one year, we have worked to strengthen the public’s trust even more. We have crossed some of the milestones of the “no-choice resolution” of making Uttarakhand a developed state, but many more milestones are yet to be crossed.
During this one year, we have either fulfilled our promises made to the public or have taken decisive steps towards fulfilling them. On this occasion, Member of Parliament Mr. Ajay Tamta said that after the formation of Uttarakhand state, the Chief Minister’s visit for the first time in this Masi area will give further impetus to the development of the area. The MP said that there was a time when only 28 percent of the budget was given by the Central Government and today during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 42 percent of the budget is being given by the Central Government, due to which all the villages of this region are being connected by road.
Farmers’ income is increasing due to the Kisan Samman Nidhi being given by the Central Government. He said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, pure drinking water is being made available to all households. In the field of health, Almora Medical College has been started and funds have been released for Pithoragarh Medical College, due to which the limit has been increased.
Better health facilities will be available in the rest area as well. He said that all of us will have to work together to ensure that every person gets the benefit of the schemes of the Central Government. Regional MLA Madan Bisht welcomed the Chief Minister and placed various demands related to the development of the area before him.
