Uttarakhand tableau becomes a talking point at 74th Republic Day

New Delhi: The tableau of Uttarakhand got the first prize in the country’s 74th Republic Day parade, in which wildlife and religious places were shown. The Punjab Regiment of the Army was adjudged the best marching contingent among the three services. The government gave this information recently. During the traditional parade on the duty path on January 26, Uttarakhand’s tableau displayed wildlife and religious places of the state. Till now the road known as Rajpath became ‘Kartavya Path’ after the name change in the same year. In this way, for the first time on the path of duty, Uttarakhand’s tableau ‘Manaskhand’ got the first place and the name of the state was recorded in history.

In the tableau, the legendary Jageshwar Dham surrounded by dense forests of deodar, the famous Corbett National Park, reindeer, the state animal of Uttarakhand, musk deer, the national bird peacock, the birds of the state, ghuguti, pheasant, chakor, monal and the famous aipan art of Kumaon were displayed.  The name of Uttarakhand was also written in Aipan art on the front and back of the tableau. To showcase the art and culture of the state, a graceful Choliya dance was presented along with the tableau, while yoga was also shown on the tableau. The song ‘Jai Ho Kumaon, Jai Ho Gadwala’ written by Janardan Upreti, a famous poet of Pithoragarh, was made the theme song of the tableau.

CM Dhami congratulated the people of the state

State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the people of the state for this. Dhami described this achievement as a proud moment. He said that in Puranas, Garhwal has been described as Kedarkhand and Kumaon as Manaskhand. He said that Manaskhand has been mentioned in Skandpuran, in which Jageshwar temple has a lot of religious importance. The CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always talked about taking pride in his cultural heritage and the Uttarakhand government is also working for cultural renaissance.

Tableau of Gujarat number one in popular category

The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the best marching contingent and tableau for the Republic Day Parade 2023 have been announced. The ministry said that the official winners were selected by the selection panel. Gujarat’s tableau has emerged as number one in the popular category. The tableaux of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh stood second and third respectively. Among the tableaux of the Ministries and Departments, the tableau of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been given the title of being the best tableau.

Lord Ram in UP’s tableau, glimpse of Deepotsav of Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh tableau depicts Lord Rama and Goddess Sita being welcomed by the people of Ayodhya on their return from exile. Along with this, a glimpse of the celebration of Deepotsav in this city was also presented in the tableau. The side part of the tableau depicted Ram ki Paidi on the banks of river Sarayu in Ayodhya and a large ‘Deepotsav Dwar’ was made. It also has a statue of Maharishi Vashishtha. Uttar Pradesh has been winning the award for the best tableau in the parade for the last 2 years.
