Varanasi: Everyone waits for Dev Deepawali. This time the news was coming out that President Droupadi Murmu is coming to Banaras to attend Dev Deepawali. But now this has also been confirmed. Actually, the administration has informed that President Draupadi Murmu will not come on Dev Deepawali. Along with this, there is no arrival of any other VVIP in the district on that day.
Divisional commissioner called a meeting
According to the information, Varanasi Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma informed the officials during the review of the preparations for Dev Deepawali. He told that, earlier on the occasion of Dev Deepawali, the first information about the President’s visit to Kashi had also come. Since then, preparations were also going on at the local level including the police, district administration and other places. But at present there is no program for the arrival of President Droupadi Murmu on Dev Deepawali.
Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma also said in the preparation meeting for Ganga Mahotsav and Dev Deepawali that boats should be seated according to their capacity. Strict action should be taken against those who do overloading. Said that the boats should not be run by any child. Otherwise action will be taken against the boat owner. After the festival, to clean the dirt on the ghats, asked to avoid throwing it here and there.
Police commissioner also gave instructions
Heads of all departments including Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh attended the meeting. The police commissioner said that any vehicle would be stopped five hundred meters before the ghat for smooth traffic. There will be complete arrangement of lights in the streets. The policemen should be attentive in every way, so that there is no disturbance in any way.
