Vegetables sent to Arab World straight from Lucknow

Lucknow: Vegetables will be sent to Saudi Arabia from the Mango Pack House of Mandi Parishad built in Rehman Kheda of the capital. The process has started from January 20. For this, processing and packing of vegetables like Okra, bitter gourd, cucumber, peas etc. has started in the pack house. Exports from here to Saudi Arabia will be for the first time. Saudi Arabia’s rules and procedures are tough. To meet these standards Pack House was striving for many years. At the same time, export of vegetables will also start in locked down Bahrain, Dubai, London and France. First two tonnes each of vegetable sweet peas will be exported to these places. The peas will be bought from Hardai, Etah and Fatehpur. Peas for export will be procured from Lucknow’s BKT, Etah, Fatehpur and Hardoi. Peas and other vegetables are being processed by storing them in the pack house. Mangoes are exported in large quantities from the Mango Pack House and the pack house is closed after the season. Export of vegetables was started to operate in every crop season. With this, thousands of farmers could join and sell their crops at reasonable prices. This process has started again after the Corona period.
