Lucknow: Lucknow Development Authority Vice-Chairman Dr. Indramani Tripathi inspected various sections in the Authority building. During this, expressing displeasure over getting dirt everywhere, he directed to improve the cleanliness system.
Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma said that the surprise inspection was done by the Vice Chairman at 10 am. During this period furniture was found to be broken in various sections. On this, the Vice Chairman directed the Maintenance Section to get it rectified.
He said that whatever items are unusable, they should be marked in the stock register and disposed of. Apart from this, the dirt of paan/gutkha was found at various places during the inspection.
In this regard, the Vice Chairman directed the officers that along with keeping pots at such places, painting etc. should be done and if any authority worker or outsider is found smoking and peaking, then a fine of Rs 500 should be collected from the concerned.
During inspection, filth was also found in the bathrooms of various sections. On this instructions were given to depute one employee for cleaning each bathroom. Apart from this, electric wires were found hanging at many places, which were directed to be rectified immediately by the Vice Chairman.
The Additional Secretary said that letters and records were found scattered at many places, on which the Vice President said that the process of beading of those letters should be completed by the concerned section within a week. After this, a bundle of letters should be made and kept at the appropriate place.
The Vice-Chairman instructed each employee to put up his name sheet at his workplace and also to mark his name and details on the shelves related to him. Along with this, he also directed to get the fire extinguishers installed in the authority’s office checked.
He issued orders that all the section heads should inspect their sections and ensure the arrangement for cleanliness and submit its report in three days.
He directed to conduct a special cleanliness drive in the Authority building on the coming Sunday.
He said that after a week, they will inspect again and if negligence is found, action will be taken against the concerned.
