‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ is being organized in the entire state
Lucknow: Yogi Government has made efforts at many levels to extend the benefits of government schemes to the eligible people in Uttar Pradesh. In this sequence, now as per the intention of PM Modi and on the instructions of CM Yogi, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ is being organized in the entire state from November 15, 2023 to January 26, 2024. Through this yatra, not only the schemes run by the government will be publicized in the urban bodies, but the process of nomination of eligible and potential people will be completed on the spot.
It is noteworthy that the Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India had written a letter to all the state governments regarding the implementation of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra and ensuring public participation. Keeping this in mind, the Urban Development Department of the State Government has directed all the Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers of Municipality, Nagar Panchayat for the yatra.
Preparations started in the bodies
In the order issued by Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Amrit Abhijat, it has been said that the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be organized to effectively deliver the benefits of public facilities and government schemes to the weakest people through active public participation in the urban bodies of the state. It is ensured to be done from November 2023 to January 26, 2024.
Taking cognizance of the letter of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, necessary action should be taken to ensure successful implementation of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in all urban bodies and wide public participation. Following the instructions of the Principal Secretary, preparations have started on a large scale in the urban bodies for conducting the Yatra.
Efforts to connect eligible people deprived of benefits
The objective of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to extend the benefits of the schemes of the Urban Development Department run in the urban bodies of the state to the deprived, weak and eligible people through public awareness, who despite being eligible, are deprived of benefits. Through this, bringing public awareness through wide publicity of various schemes of the Urban Development Department operated in the urban bodies of the state, talking to the beneficiaries regarding government schemes and sharing personal stories and experiences and providing information about the schemes of the Urban Development Department. Enrollment of eligible and potential beneficiaries will have to be ensured during the journey itself.
Under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, wide publicity of public interest schemes will be ensured through audio, video visual, brochures, pamphlets, booklets etc. in the stipulated period by IEC Van in the state.
