VisionStartUPs ushers in new era of startup handholding, big bucks rain on HashTagbazaar!

Vision StartUPs was conceived with the core idea of ensuring that start-ups in the current times bloom in the state and they get the right direction with mentoring. Increasingly, talent has left the state and moved to other parts of the country for better opportunities. Vision StartUPs has been formed by a group of startup industry professionals, early stage investors government bodies and corporate mentors.Vision StartUPs would function as a ‘Not for profit’ enterprise. This unique franchise comes at the cusp of entrepreneurship capturing the imagination of the masses, driven in part by a spate of wildly successful young startups and massive VC interest.
Despite the rising clout of start-ups under the current regime, the right push was lacking. In a glittering event held for the first time in the city of Lucknow, Vision StartUPs along with My Place CoWorking, Rapid Bloom Ventures LLP, 5 Unicorns Angel LLP, Lucknow Book Fair and The Lucknow Tribune felicitated promising start-ups for their unique ideation, out of the box approach and sharp business acumen.
This is perhaps the first time that such a unique handholding exercise has been conceived where the government and IT sector are on the same page with industry stalwarts proving to be the guiding light. Many of those who were acknowledged have worked doubly hard to reach at a certain level.
Among the big names felicitated at the event were HashTagBazaar, 1vers funded by HashTagBazaar; Big Alfa, Blossom tea, Car Wellness, Dectrocell, HBOT, LCB fertilizers, Macro Gardens, Mosasa, Road Pilot, Tathagat Agro and Tiffilo.
Amongst the biggest gainers from the start-ups who were part of this fantastic event was HashTagBazaar. The highlight of the event was the handing over of the investment cheque of an amount of US$100,000 to one of the most promising start-up from Lucknow – HashTagBazaar. This Lucknow based startup is a Group Buying Social e-commerce platform with a Social Impact, which is channelizing sales & initiating price reduction via customer network sharing. The Co-founders of HashTagBazaar- Mr. Ankush Arora and Mr. Neelesh Kapoor collected the same from the special guests.
These startups are not only changing the business landscape of the country but also the typically conservative, play-safe mindsets of the majority of Indian households who want nothing more than for their next generation to settle in a government job, work for an MNC or join the established family business.
Present at the event as special guest were Mr. Kumar Vineet, Special Secretary, IT and Electronics, MD UPDESCO and Mr. Yaqoob Hasan – Chairman e-commerce committee, CII UP.The event was anchored by Gaurav Srivastava and Rishabh Agarwal. As per latest reports, Uttar Pradesh witnessed an exponential rise in startups under the present regime, with 3,406 startups setting up base in the state in the last few years, registering a massive increase of 1700% from just 200 in 2017. Realizing the true potential of the talented, as many as 22,000 people have got employment through new startups. Additional chief secretary, IT and Electronics, Alok Kumar has been quoted saying that, “Startups established in 73 districts have provided direct employment to 10,000 people and indirect employment to 12,000. Currently, 18 incubators are functioning in the state and shortly, 100 more will be set up, with at least one in each district.
