Wedding season feels the pinch in Corona season

Gorakhpur: In view of the record increase in the cases of Corona, a big crisis has arisen on the marriage programs starting from January 15. Along with the people associated with the wedding industry, the houses where there are marriages are also upset. Out of more than 3000 weddings booked in more than 200 marriage halls of Gorakhpur, the bookings of a dozen have also been cancelled.

Those who had booked marriage halls started searching for accommodation in hotels after the number of guests was limited. There are a lot of marriages in nine Muhurat between January 15 and 30. All the marriage halls have been booked. In view of the increased cases due to Omicron, there is fear among the wedding industry as well as the family members. There are half a dozen marriage halls in Civil Lines. Of these, one or two bookings have been canceled in almost all.

Vijay Khemka, owner of Vaishnavi Lawn and president of Gorakhpur Marriage Hall Association, says that the booking for February 16 has been canceled. Bookings are getting canceled in many more marriage halls. No advance is being given. Rajkumar, who recorded the video, says that new bookings are not being received. No advance is being given. If the pace of increase in infection remains the same, then marriages will be cancelled.
