Wheat growers to reap rich dividends with right price for their produce
Lucknow: Reasonable price of their produce will be made available to the farmers in the state by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Wheat procurement for the year 2023-24 under the minimum support price scheme will benefit the farmers. It will be made available under the support price of wheat at the rate of Rs. 2125/- per quintal from next April. Wheat procurement will be started. To take advantage of the support price, the concerned can contact the Food Department.
Registration is mandatory on the portal. Before selling wheat to the farmers, any online registration will have to be done from Jan Suvidha Kendra, Cyber Cafe.
According to the information received from the Food and Logistics Department, the price of wheat to the farmers
Payment will be made in their Aadhaar linked bank account.
Farmers should get their Aadhaar number, name etc. mentioned in the Aadhaar card will have to be mentioned correctly. Kharif Marketing Year Re-registration for sale of wheat to farmers who have registered for paddy purchase in 2022-23 will not be required.
But the registration will have to be rectified and re-locked. Farmers can call toll free number 1800-1800-150 or contact the concerned district for any assistance. District Food Marketing Officer, Regional Marketing Officer of Tehsil or Marketing of Block can be contacted, also the inspector.
