Widening of state highways to be taken up on a war footing – Jitin Prasada

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Public Works Minister  Jitin Prasada informed that taking forward the target of widening all the state highways to a minimum of two lanes, the action plan to widen 13 projects of state highways that were left out of two lanes have been approved. Due to which now all the state highways of the state will become at least two lanes wide.

Jitin Prasada informed that for the purpose of widening the minimum 2 lanes for smooth traffic on all the state highways of the state, 13 projects of various state roads whose length is 260 km. The approval of the action plan has been given by the  Chief Minister, which costs Rs. 753. crores. Due to the widening of the minimum two lanes of the state highways left from widening, no state highway will be left less than two lanes wide in the entire state.

These 13 projects include 03 projects of Fatehpur district, 02-02 projects of Shahjahanpur, Jalaun while 01-01 projects of Ghazipur Prayagraj, Varanasi, Bareilly, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh.

Jitin Prasada said that the Public Works Department is committed to provide high quality roads to the common man, and high level technology is also being used in this direction. With this decision, the general public of Uttar Pradesh will be able to get the facility of comfortable and fast movement.

He said that according to the wishes of  Chief Minister, there should not be any inconvenience in the traffic in any part of the state from east to west and from north to south, keeping this in view, a network of roads is being laid for high quality transport in the state.
