Lucknow: Yellow alert has been issued for dense fog in 30 districts. Moderate to dense fog may occur in Lucknow and adjoining districts. A warning has been issued for dense to very dense fog in some districts of the state.
In the next 24 – 48 hours in Uttar Pradesh, once again a big change will be seen in the weather. Another phase of cold wave will be seen. The UP Meteorological Department has issued a warning of severe cold wave in the state from January 14 to 19. For the next 48 hours, there is a possibility of one degree drop in the maximum and minimum temperature, and on the day of Makar Sankranti, an alert has been issued regarding the cold wave. Light rain may occur in Lucknow and nearby districts.
The UP Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the second round of cold wave will start after January 15, which will continue till January 19, in which case the mercury can go up to zero degree in many areas. It is estimated that on January 14, the minimum temperature in Gorakhpur can go up to 8.8 degrees, Jhansi 12.6 degrees, Bareilly 11.4 degrees, Bahraich 12.2 degrees, Prayagraj 13 degrees Celsius, Lucknow 11.4 degrees and Meerut 19 degrees. Warning of cold day and cold wave has been issued in Lucknow from January 15 to 17.
Orange-yellow alert till 19
The Uttar Pradesh Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in some parts on Saturday, January 14. In such a situation, the outbreak of cold may increase further in the coming days. There is a possibility of fog shadow in different parts of the state till January 18. There is also a possibility of cold day at some places, for this the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert. There will be more cold on 16, 17 and 18 January. The wind speed will be 8 to 10 kilometers per hour. Orange alert has been issued for cold day with dense fog in 20 districts including western Uttar Pradesh, Terai belt districts and Purvanchal from January 15.

Like before, red alert will be issued in western Uttar Pradesh regarding cold wave. These include Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar and Deoria.

Apart from these, yellow alert has been issued for dense fog in 30 other districts. Moderate to dense fog may occur in Lucknow and adjoining districts. A warning has been issued for dense to very dense fog in some districts of the state. The weather will be dry. The maximum temperature can be around 20 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 10 degree Celsius.
