With festive rush, UP Transport Corporation earns 12 crore more

Lucknow: On the instructions of Dayashankar Singh, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, additional buses were operated from March 03, 2023 to March 08, 2023, on the occasion of Holi festival in the state.

The Transport Corporation earned an income of Rs 105 crore from this operation. Which was about Rs 12 crore more than last year’s income.

Giving this information, Managing Director Transport Corporation Sanjay Kumar said that 85 lakh passengers were taken to their destinations from the earlier parallel period.

He informed that on an average 10800 buses were operated per day. Average earning per bus per day was Rs.13900 which was Rs.7800 last year.

MD Transport Corporation said that 24-hour transport facility was made available to the passengers by continuous hard work by all the officers so that the people of the state could reach their homes and celebrate the festival. He told that on the last day, March 04, 2023, 75 Rajdhani Bus Services and 39 Ordinary Bus Services joined the Transport Corporation’s fleet, this has facilitated the Transport Corporation to reach the passengers to their destination.

For this, the Honorable Transport Minister has also thanked the Honorable Chief Minister.
