With improved Dearness Allowance, pensioners to heave a sigh of relief in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: There is good news for 16 lakh state employees and about 12 lakh pensioners of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) has approved the file for increasing dearness allowance from January 2023. In such a situation, now the employees will get increased salary for the month of May. At the same time, pensioners will also get the benefit of increase in dearness relief.

CM Yogi approved the DA and DR hike file on Monday evening. With the 4 per cent increase in ACE, DA and DR will now increase to 42 per cent. You will get the benefit of increase in salary for the month of May in cash. At the same time, the arrears of the previous four months will be deposited in the Provident Fund and National Savings Certificates of the employees.

However, no mandate in this regard was issued by the Finance Department till late night.

Along with the payment of increased dearness allowance to the state employees, the pensioners of the state government will get four per cent increased dearness relief. The number of pensioners in the state is between 11 to 12 lakhs.

Due to the payment of dearness allowance and dearness relief at the increased rate, an additional expenditure of about Rs 296 crore will be incurred on the exchequer of the government every month.

In July 2023, state employees will again be entitled to increase in dearness allowance. After the central government announced the increase in dearness allowance in July, the state government will also give the benefit of this increase to its employees.

The benefit of the increase in dearness allowance of July can be encashed from October and November like in the previous years. Information is being done.
