Lucknow: Exhibitors from all across India are showcasing their handicraft and lifestyle products all under one roof. The much awaited two day Dastkaarii Handicraft and Lifestyle Exhibition Season 9 is happening at The Regnant Hotel, Nirala Nagar.
Lucknowites will get a chance to buy selected lifestyle, fashion and handcrafted items from different regions of India under one roof. Dr. Archana Singh, ACP Cantt, Mahila Apradh, Lucknow was the Chief Guest for the exhibition and the inauguration took place in the presence of the who’s who of the creative world in the city.
Organized by Dastkaarii – The Handicraft Studio, Handicraft and Lifestyle Exhibition Season 9 will display numerous unique products in various lifestyle and handicraft segments ranging from handcrafted apparels, home decor, furnishings and festive decor, metal craft and jute craft.
In the exhibition participants have come from all across India. Visitors will have a chance to feel the magic of handicrafts and handlooms from various cities of Rajasthan, Gujarat and UP. The Rafoogars of Najibabad will be displaying their intricate work on Pashmina at ‘Shawl Story’. They specialize in Iraani and Persian work Shawls stoles and sarees.
Apart from them, you can find magnificent and impeccable tradition of Lucknavi ‘Kadhai’ at ‘Niza’. R Z Handloom from Banaras will exhibit and sell Banarasi sarees and dupattas. You can find Ajrakh, Shibori and Ikkat fabrics and Sarees at ‘ Navami Handlooms and Handicraft’. There will be some budding artists displaying jute crafts and Raisen art. You can also avail tarot readings, chakra readings, crystal therapy etc.
According to Richa Gupta, Founder and Director of Dastkaarii, the exhibition feels privileged to be associated with charitable NGOs for its social cause. The visitors will be able to purchase special handicraft products made by Eeshwar Child Welfare Foundation, an NGO working for the support of mothers of cancer patient kids. You can also help Empower Skill Foundation by purchasing handmade jewellery from Varsha’s Creations, as it is donating a portion of its profit to ESF.
With the help of the team of 160+ members ESF is working for 100+ old age people, animal welfare and 500+ underprivileged kids. Another NGO from Bhopal, M.P. named ‘Ekjut’, working with rehabilitation of sex workers, will be displaying handpainted sarees, dupattas.
