With Model Code of Conduct now over, 500 cr worth development works get an impetus

Lucknow: With the end of the election code of conduct, the vehicle of development is going back on track. LDA, Municipal Corporation and Housing Development Council have started the tender process for development projects. Those whose tender was done, their approval files have been forwarded. Files of projects worth about 500 crores are ready in these departments.

The development work was hampered for almost three months due to the implementation of the model code of conduct. After the end of the model code of conduct, the departments have gathered pace again. The tendering process has started for all the major projects. The LDA was most affected by the code of conduct. Tenders for projects worth about Rs 500 crore were stalled. Tenders of various schemes of Housing Development Council could not be done. After Monday their tenders will start.

Tender for 250 crore PM houses

Before the code of conduct, LDA had tendered for 4512 houses of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Basant Kunj Yojna. Rs 250 crore will be spent on their construction. The model code of conduct came into force after the tender. Due to this the tenders could not be accepted. Now after accepting its tender, the work will start soon.

Construction of Atal Prerna Sthal with 118 crores

Atal National Prerna Sthal is to be made with 118 crores under Basant Kunj Yojana. Its tender could not be done due to the implementation of the model code of conduct. The government had sanctioned Rs 118 crore. Officials said that now the construction of which will be started soon after tendering.

These plans of LDA will also be tender

– Development of various Sector A of Basant Kunj: Seven crores

– Development of Rifaye Mango Club Scheme: Five crores

– Beautification of Kala Pahad Lake: Four crores Housing development sought tender for ayodhya scheme

The Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad has issued a tender for the development of Ayodhya scheme. The first tender has been issued for the scheme to be developed in about 1200 acres. Nine crore tender has been issued for the first road of Ayodhya. Site office will be built in Ayodhya scheme with two crores. About 10 crore tenders are to be made in Ghaziabad, 20 crores for the construction of houses under Avadh Vihar Yojna. SC Rai, Chief Engineer of Housing Development said that the model code of conduct was waiting to be over. Now there will be tenders.
