With new seed kits available for farmers, booking the right seeds just a click away

Lucknow: State’s Additional Chief Secretary, Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Department,  Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said in the state a fair and transparent system of mini sugarcane seed kits of new varieties has been given to the sugarcane farmers by the Sugarcane Research Council, Shahjahanpur.

Under this system, farmers can now book seeds sitting at home on the website of Sugarcane Development Department,  and pay for it online. With this, farmers will not have to run till Shahjahanpur for mini sugarcane seed kits.  The desired variety of seed will be made available from the Sugarcane Research Council, Shahjahanpur or any other center which will be near to the concerned farmer.

Bhoosreddy told that for the sugarcane farmers of U.P. a seminar is organized every year at Sugarcane Research Council, Shahjahanpur, in which this arrangement has been made by the department keeping in view the arrival of more number of farmers than expected and the demand for mini sugarcane seed kit has been introduced.

Under this arrangement, arrangement of mini sugarcane seed kit will be ensured to all the farmers as per their demand.

Bhoosreddy also informed that in the Mithas Goshthi to be held on March 04, 2023 this year, the new sugarcane variety Co.Sh. 17231 and Ko.Sha will be a major part. The distribution of 16233 Mini Sugarcane Seed Kit will be done through online booking only.

Therefore, to get mini sugarcane seed kit in Kisan Bandhu Mithas Gosthi, make online bookings he urged. Mini sugarcane seed kit of new varieties will be given to the farmers who have booked online only in Mithas Goshthi. U.P.

Director of Sugarcane Research Council, Shahjahanpur, Dr. Sudhir Shukla has also appealed to the farmers to take advantage of the research exhibition related to the scientific technology of sugarcane production by participating in maximum numbers in the Kisan Goshthi to be held on March 04, 2023.
