Women IPL Challenger Playoffs to be held in Ekana Stadium between May 24 & 28
Lucknow: The Women’s Challengers matches of IPL will be played at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Smriti Ekana Stadium in Lucknow from May 24 to 28.
In this, 3 teams of women will compete with each other. Every year a separate challenge competition is organized for women in IPL, which will be held in Lucknow this time.
This time the Lucknow team has been introduced in the IPL under the name of Lucknow Supergiants. But cricket lovers were disappointed as not a single match of men was played in Lucknow. Being here compared to women, cricket lovers will definitely get something to watch in the name of IPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has released the schedule for the IPL playoff matches on Saturday (April 23). The playoff matches will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. At the same time, Women’s Challengers will be organized at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Qualifier-1 will be played on 24th May and Eliminator match will be played on 26th May. After this, Qualifier-2 will be held in Ahmedabad on May 27 and the final match will be held on May 29.
During the four matches, 100 percent spectators can watch the match according to the capacity of the stadium. The matches against the women’s challengers will be held at the Ekana Stadium from May 24 to 28.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said, ‘Women’s Challengers Series will be held from May 24-28 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. As far as the matches of the men’s IPL knock-out stage are concerned, it will be held in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. 100% attendance will be allowed for matches played after the conclusion of the league round on May 22. The league rounds of IPL are being played at four grounds in Maharashtra.
Apart from Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium, Pune has been given the responsibility of Maharashtra Cricket Association. At present, 50 percent of the spectators have been allowed to go to the stadium.
