Women IPL Media Rights ring in the bucks

Mumbai: The BCCI has received billions of rupees from the media rights of the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL). These media rights have been won by viacom18. This information has been given by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah himself through Twitter.

Jay Shah congratulated viacom18 through a tweet. He also told the fans that this time BCCI has benefited hugely by selling media rights. Jay Shah said these media rights have been sold for five years. That is, from 2023 to 2027, the media rights of the women’s IPL will remain with viacom18.

Jay Shah wrote in the tweet, ‘Congratulations to viacom18 for winning the Women’s IPL Media Rights. An agreement of Rs 951 crore has been signed with Viacom under media rights for five years. Media Rights of men’s IPL 2023-27 were sold for a total of Rs 48,390 crore. Apart from Viacom, Zee, Sony and Disney Star were also involved in the race for these rights. Now soon players will be auctioned for the women’s IPL 2023 season. There can be a total of 22 matches including the final in this season.
