Lucknow: A Women’s Empowerment Program ‘Na Streeratnamasam Ratnam’ was organized exclusively on International Women’s Day at the Institute of Management Research and Technology, Gomti Nagar.
Through this event, eminent women who have been successful in various fields shared their experience and success stories with the students. This program clearly conveyed to the society that Stree Ratna rules supreme.
The program was inaugurated with lamp lighting and prayers. Renowned anchor Anukreethy Govind Sharma hosted the show with special guests present like Justice Rekha Dixit (Allahabad High Court), Ms Ruchita Choudhary, IPS (SP / Additional DCP Police Commissionerate Lucknow), Ms Eva Sharma, IFS (GM, Industries, Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation), Dr. Richa Chaudhary, MD (Associate Prof, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Lucknow), Ms. Pooja Gupta, Industrialist Almahar, Ms. Kunti and Anshu Rajput (Acid Attack Survivors Sheroes Hangout).
On this occasion, the students of the college showed the importance of women power in the society and environment through cultural dance and grouping.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Rekha Dixit urged women to recognize their qualities and recognize their capabilities. She encouraged women to raise their voice against domestic violence of every type and become self-reliant.
Ms Pooja Gupta, while sharing the message of women empowerment, shared the success of her venture. She described how she was successful in helping needy women by providing jobs through her startup. She also described how she was able to take the snack venture to the height of success with the help of two partners.
Ms. Ruchita Choudhary said that women not only need to recognize and take advantage of the opportunity that exists for themselves, but they also have to prove their abilities in the respective field. She said that women have been sidelined due to their surroundings, while they can lead the entire population.
Ms. Eva Sharma said that women are worshipped in Indian culture. It is also said that God resides here. Women have been given importance in Indian scriptures as well. She said that women also participated equally with men on every front. Women are called ardhangini, which means’ men are incomplete without women. She said that if you do your work with full dedication, then you will definitely get success. She also called upon the students of Kartania Ghat Wildlife Sanctuary, Bahraich to spread awareness about nature.
Dr. Richa Chaudhary encouraged students to speak openly about social issues and raise their voice against all forms of discrimination or gender bias. She said that women should try to keep themselves happy not just one day but throughout the year.
Kunti and Anshu Rajput shared their tragic incident with the students and told them that acid was thrown on their faces and not on their will. This is they continue to grow and continue to be an inspiration to other girls.
For the last 12 years, the IMRT Institute has been making 100% contribution in the field of education. The College has about 2000 students in the courses MBA, BBA, BCA, BCom, BCom Honors and B.Ed. have been making excellent contribution in their respective fields every year.
