Workshop organized on better assessment

Lucknow: Allenhouse Public School, Vrindavan Yojna, Lucknow hosted a workshop on Remodelling Assessment Designing Parameters. The workshop began with a Lamp lighting Ceremony followed by the welcome address by Poonam Arora, Principal of Allenhouse Public School where she addressed the teachers and welcomed them to the enlightening session. Headmistress Shalini Srivastava was also present in this workshop.

The session was led by Karuna, Director Academics, along with Mandeep Kaur and Aqib Khan from Quality Assurance Department of the School. English, Maths & Science teachers from the sister concerns of the Superhouse Education Foundation attended the workshop.

Various topics including the concept of assessment and its different typeswere discussed during the session. They also focused on Competency-Based Assessment and the criteria for assessing a test item. The workshop included a discussion of assessment objectives and how to differentiate between them.

It was an enlightening session, which would change the way in which assessments are being designed. This would also help to understand the learning gaps thereby helping in more focused planning for transaction of lessons.
