Four-day orientation program in the Faculty of Architecture and Planning concluded with an art workshop.
Lucknow: For the last four days, an orientation program was organized at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Tagore Marg. All the first year architecture students participated in this orientation programme. In which all the students were introduced to the nuances of different mediums of architecture and visual arts by experts from different genres.
Bhupendra Kumar Asthana told that an art workshop was organized on Saturday in this event. In which workshop was completed in genres like sculpture, fluid art, paper craft and macrame art. Sculptor Mahesh Kumar as an expert in sculpture, Sidra Sabahat in fluid art, Ratnapriya Kant in paper craft and Sangeeta Yadav for macrame art. In whose presence the first year students of architecture created artefacts along with experts in all the four arts.
In sculpture, students learned clay modeling and their own hand molding, casting. At the same time, in Fluid Art, learned to give shape to the freedom of feelings with colorful textures through acrylic colors and canvas. At the same time, different decorative shapes were made by combining pieces of colored paper, for this colored pastel sheets, colored ribbons, etc. were used.
On the other hand, using cotton threads and ropes in macrame art, many decorative items like flower hangings and wall hangings were created. All the students participated in this art workshop with great enthusiasm, interest and enthusiasm. Art teacher of the organization Girish Pandey, sculptor and painter Bhupendra Kumar Asthana conducted and participated in this program. Students say that today’s whole day was creative and enthusiastic. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Dr. Vandana Sehgal praised the work done by the students in this art workshop and said that such workshops develop creative potential and positive energy.
