Lucknow: In good news for lakhs of youth looking for employment in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath government is going to give impetus to ‘Mission Rozgar’ again. Under this, government jobs are going to be given to 1 lakh youth in UP by the end of this year. The Yogi government had set a target of providing government jobs to 5 lakh people by the end of this year. The pace of the scheme had slowed down under the Corona pandemic. So far, the state government has given jobs to 4 lakh people in 4 years. In which more than 1 lakh women have got government jobs.
As per the government, 1.50 crore workers have been provided employment through MNREGA. Apart from this, efforts were also made to provide employment to people through start ups. Over 5 lakh youth have been given employment from start up units and 3 lakh from industrial units. Not only this, the government claims that 25 lakh people have been given employment through ODOP. More than 5 lakh people were given employment with the new industrial policy. The Yogi government has also tried to provide work to the people through MSME units. Under which 1 crore 80 lakh people got employment from more than 50 lakh MSME units.
As per an official spokesperson, over 1 lakh 30 thousand teachers have been recruited in the state. After skill mapping of more than 40 lakh workers/labourers, they have been given employment. Not only this, the government claims that more than 65 thousand people have been given employment in marketing the products of companies like Amazon, Flipkart, AKTU, BSE.
