Yogi cabinet clears 22 proposals in latest meeting

Lucknow: In the UP cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 22 out of 23 proposals were approved. These included Director General (DG) School Education Policy. Now both the basic and secondary education departments will have the same Director General.

Cabinet Minister Sandeep Singh said that earlier the Uttar Pradesh government had implemented the Director General system only in the Basic Education Department. Now DG School Education will look after the work of both Basic and Secondary. All the departments and offices of Secondary and Basic Education will be under the control of DG School. The government has taken this decision to improve the education system from class 1 to 12. Along with this, green signal has also been given for the construction of three private universities.

At the same time, the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy- 2022 has been approved. This will also give impetus to the preparations for the Global Investors Summit. This policy has been prepared for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Lucknow from February 10 to 12 in the year 2023.

At the same time, SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad will be established in the private sector under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019. Major SD Singh University will be set up in Fatehgarh and Farrukhabad. JSS University will also be set up in Noida. Not only this, a resolution related to the Home Department has also been passed. In Varanasi, 12 police stations are attached to the commissionerate. Six rural police stations of Lucknow have also been connected with the commissionerate system.

Under the Saryu Canal National Project in Siddharthnagar, Irrigation Department land will be given to build a canal. It has also been agreed to give 160.7608 hectares of non-forest land in lieu of 127.1637 hectares of forest land for canal systems under the Kanhar Irrigation Project.
