Yogi government taking care of basic needs of lakhs of policemen

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is paying attention to the basic needs of lakhs of policemen who are handling the security and law and order of the state along with the general public.  For this, the State Home Department is working closely with the Housing Department and the Revenue Department. It is worth noting that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated 144 residential and non-residential projects of the police, which were built at a cost of Rs 260.02 crore virtually from Lucknow.

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avnish Awasthi informed about this announcement of the Chief Minister in the program. He said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, work is being done to provide every employee of Uttar Pradesh Police with the facility of his own residence. For this, the Home Department, Housing Department and Revenue Department are working on its outline. It is also being seen that what financial help can be given to the policemen by the government under this scheme. So that relief can be given to them and their families. It is to be known that more than 4 lakh jawans are employed in the police force in the state, which makes it the largest police force not only in the country but in the world. Under the scheme, such police personnel who do not have their own accommodation will be identified. After this, work will be done towards providing them housing and financial assistance according to their needs.

Barracks will be completed soon, the target of the discussion room

The Additional Chief Secretary told in the same program that the Chief Minister has ordered that there should be barracks and investigation room for every constable, lady constable, inspector, sub-inspector of Uttar Pradesh Police. Continuous efforts are being made to achieve this goal. It is our endeavor that in the next 12 to 18 months this target should be achieved in the entire state in any case. It is worth noting that in this episode, on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated projects worth Rs 886.12 lakh of Bareilly. Of these, barracks were constructed in the police line with Rs 741 lakh, while the cyber crime office has been constructed with Rs 134 lakh.

Can spend moments of peace

In the same program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that our police personnel work from 8 hours to 20 hours. Sometimes they don’t even get leave. In such a situation, when he goes back home after getting tired of work, then he should get a chance to spend relaxing moments with his family in his own residence. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is sensitive towards the basic needs of the police and continuous efforts are being made in this direction that the needs of the policemen can be met at the earliest. The Chief Minister emphasized that modernization of police force is one of the priorities of the government and it is not possible without meeting the basic requirements.
