Yogi government tightens noose around illegal buildings construction
Lucknow: The government of Uttar Pradesh is strict about illegal constructions in the state. Since 2017, the government has taken action with bulldozers on all the illegal constructions done by the mafia in the state. Now the government is going to act strictly on any kind of illegal construction.
Various development authorities are being consulted regarding this. The government is going to crack down especially on illegal constructions on the colonies of development authorities. What kind of action should be taken against those who do illegal construction by violating the rules, is being discussed.
Soon, in the meeting of the officials of the Housing and Urban Planning Department, an opinion on this will be prepared and an action plan will be prepared.
According to Ravi Jain, director of Awas Bandhu, a government order has been issued in 2018 itself regarding illegal construction. Accordingly, the department keeps on taking action on illegal constructions from time to time.
At present, a survey has to be conducted regarding the illegal construction in the colonies of development authorities. From this survey it will be known that how much illegal construction has taken place in these colonies, how many illegal colonies have come up.
After the situation of illegal construction becomes clear, the department will discuss further action. On the instructions of Principal Secretary (Housing) Nitin Ramesh Gokarn, a meeting is proposed after Holi, in which an effective policy will be discussed.
In this policy, a detailed outline of the possible action plan against these illegal colonies or illegal constructions will be decided. In this, consultation will also be held with the concerned authorities, so that illegal colonies and illegal constructions can be freed without any hindrance.
He told that in the mandate 2018 of the Housing and Urban Planning Department, a provision has been made for strict action against illegal construction. In our act, we have been given such power that we can take strict action on any illegal construction. Along with this, in the departmental meetings from time to time, instructions are given to the authorities and officials of the concerned departments to stop illegal construction and take strict action.
It is notable that the Yogi government has already given instructions to deal strictly with those who ignore the rules regarding illegal construction. The Chief Minister has given clear instructions that due to illegal construction common people are facing problems. In such a situation, according to the intention of the Yogi Government, the Housing Department has started solving this problem.
