Yogi government working to help specially able eke out a living

Lucknow:  Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Backward Welfare, Narendra Kashyap informed that the State Government is running various welfare schemes for the differently-abled. In which the scheme of construction and operation of shop is going on for the rehabilitation of physically disabled persons.

Under this scheme, Rs. 20,000 is being provided for shop construction and Rs. 10,000 for operation of shop, kiosk, gumti, hand cart.

He said that out of Rs. 20,000, an amount of Rs. 15,000 is provided as loan at 4% simple interest and Rs. 5,000 as grant. Similarly, an amount of Rs.7500 for Rs.10,000 is provided as loan at 4% simple interest and Rs.2,500 as grant.

Under this scheme, the specially able can apply online through Jan Suvidha Kendra and Lokvani and updated status of e-application can also be obtained. He informed that in the year 2022-23, approval of Rs 79.53 lakh has been given for the construction and operation of shops for the rehabilitation of physically challenged persons. Necessary mandate for this has also been issued.
