Yogi Govt makes important changes in IGRS portal to make it more effective in grievance redressal
Lucknow: The Yogi government has made some important changes in the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal to make it more effective in terms of timely and t6ransparent disposal of people’s complaints. Now only 10 complaints can be made from one mobile number in a month.
Earlier, people could make 50 complaints from one mobile number, many of which were found to be false. The new system will expedite prompt disposal of complaints within the given time on the one hand and prevent people from providing wrong information on the other.
The amendments have been made after discussions and feedback received from other districts including Kanpur (town), Ayodhya and Pilibhit. A presentation related to this has been given before Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra.
Monthly target of feeding will be fixed at DM, Commissioner’s office
Besides, amendments have also been made in the monthly ranking system of state officers on the basis of 10 parameters. It includes removal of the practice to award marks on the basis of the percentage of monthly complaints received in relation to the monthly average of the last 6 months from the standard number-01 of the monthly evaluation form. The monthly targets for reference feeding in the DM, Police Commissioner, SSP offices will be declared in advance now. Furthermore, there has also been a change in the process of special closure by flagging the complaint by the L-1 officer. Now after selecting of the flag on the prohibited subjects by the L-1 officer and uploading the report, it will be received by the L-2 officers for approval. According to the data, in the last 6 months, flags of prohibited subjects have been raised by L-1 officers in about 6 lakh references.
New standard of profile verification in ranking
A new parameter of profile verification has been added in the ranking of officers. The profile details of officers of district and subordinate levels will be modified or verified every month by DM, Police Commissioner, SSP, SP office as per the requirement. In addition, the process of computing default references for ranking has also been changed. In the present system, marks are awarded in the standard of defaulters on the basis of number of remaining defaulters as on the last date of the month. In the new system, the default complaint on any date of the month will be considered as a defaulter and will be counted in the assessment.
