Yogi’s council of ministers take decision to improve quality of education in the state
Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government is encouraging private universities to improve the quality of education in the state. In this regard, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, it has been decided to issue letters of intent to four new universities.
These universities include Varun Arjun University Shahjahanpur, TS Mishra University Lucknow, Farukh Hussain University Agra and Vivek National University Bijnor.
The purpose of issuing letters of intent (LoI) to new private universities is to improve the standard of education and provide quality education. Under Rule 14 under Private University 2019, the higher
committee looks into such matters. After going through all the provisions, the committee sends it to the Council of Ministers. These universities will have to complete all the formalities within two years after the letter of intent is issued. The letter of intent will be cancelled in case the formalities are not completed.
