Young creative Jaipurians totally slay it at OJAS 21

Lucknow: Day 2 of Ojas’21 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow saw excitement in the air to embrace the next phase of the grand carnival. It was an opportunity, a platform to discover oneself through fun and copious competitions, which were in store for the participants.

The second day of Ojas saw 14 events namely Inside the Boardroom, Kaliedoscope, Dare not to Blink, Creative Outreach, Social Expressions, Brainstorm Dorm, Parody Making, Indian Quizathon, Retro Dance, Valedictory, Battle of Bands, and the celebrity band night mega event.

The event was made grand by various sponsors who intensified the fun factor of Ojas’21. The participants were full of enthusiasm to put their best shot in the competitions and prove their competence.

More than 50 colleges throughout Lucknow participated. The crowd was highly energetic, which was evident from their high-spirited performances in various competitions that were held throughout the day. As the fun gained momentum with musical bands, the audience grooved with the rhythm of the melody.

Social Expressions:

The competition was focused on highlighting prevailing issues in the society and expressing a message on the same through a painting. The participants beautifully showcased some of the major issues of the society today, in a unique way through painting.

Battle of Bands and Celebrity Band Night were the main attractions

The battle of bands contest saw participation from 11 bands across the city. The participants were judged based on their creativity, originality, and most importantly the audience engagement. Some performances left crowd mesmerized. It set the stage for the mega event of the day, the celebrity band night.

Celebrity Band Night:

To uplift the mood of the audience, Delhi based rock band “The Local Train” is the icing on the cake and adds the element of fun and enthusiasm to the evening.The band’s lineup comprises lead vocalist, lyricist and guitarist Raman Negi, lead and acoustic guitarist Paras Thakur, bassist Ramit Mehra, and drummer and percussionist Sahil Sarin.

At the conclusion of the carnival, the students from host institute and various other colleges seemed filled with joy.

Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director of the Institute said, “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the students of Jaipuria Institute for the successful conduct of Ojas 2021. An impressive example of excellence has been presented by them. This shows that they are the managers of tomorrow.”
