Youth Immersion Program Empowering Budding Entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh
Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow hosts a successful program to foster innovation, incubation, and funding opportunities
Lucknow | Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow in association with SIDBI and UPLC organized a valedictory session of The Youth Immersion Program on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and venture creation for “Budding Entrepreneurs” of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The program aimed to provide Incubation support, connect new entrepreneurs with Angel investors and Venture Capital, and recommend selected Startups for Government grants and funding.
The program was supported by the StartinUP initiative of the Govt. Of U.P. and funded by SIDBI. The program was designed to cater to the requirements of startups in Uttar Pradesh. In the event, 27 Participants were awarded with the certificate. In the ceremony, Manish Sinha, GM-SIDBI; Shri Abhishek Tiwari, Consultant Start in UP; Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director-Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow, Dr.Shubhendra S. Parihar, Chair – Executive Education; and Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Chair – Incubation Centre were among the eminent guests of the occasion.
In the session, Dr.Kavita Pathak welcomed the Guests, Investors, and the organizing team. Manish Sinha – GM, SIDBI congratulated Jaipuria Lucknow for creating and delivering this program. He also added that considering the success of the program, SIDBI has decided to conduct more such programs with Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow.
Abhishek Tiwari represented UPLC in the function. He said that this is the first time that any such training program was conducted successfully with ZERO DROPOUT. He also talked about the recent changes in the policy. He also said that UPLC is also planning to execute this program more frequently.
The Certification Ceremony was followed by a Pitching Session where 11 startups were given the chance to present their business ideas to investors. The prominent investors in the session were SIANA Capital, WaterBridge Ventures, Whiteboard Capital, Campus Fund, She Capital, Venture Catalyst, Venture Garage, and Vision StartUP. The investors have decided to proceed with further discussions for funding with 5 startups.
